Origin/meaning

The arms were officially registered in 1972 and again in 1992.

The arms show the Spøttrup Estat, one of Denmarks oldest medieval estates. The bull represents the cattle farming for which the region is well known. Literature: Achen, 1982; Zeuthen, 2000
