State : Bayern
District (Kreis) : Augsburg
Additions : 1978 Deuringen, Leitershofen
English | blazon wanted |
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on October 7, 1952.
The arms show the local St. Nicholas church with the tower dating from the 14th century. The five hills in the base are a symbol of the prehistoric graves that haven been found in the municipality.
The colours are derived from the colours of the city and State of Augsburg, to which the area historically belonged.
Literature: Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
