Origin/meaning
The castle refers to the numerous castles (chateau du petit val, du grand val, de bercq) that were built by rich parisian lords in this then peaceful countryside village.
The grapes and wheat refer to local farm productions, inclusing sucy's wine, which is again produced by a local association. The blue and red colors refer, to Paris' colors and the past ownership of sucy's territory by the chanoines (monks of collegial cathedral) of the chapter of Notre-Dame-de-Paris, Paris' main cathedral.
The central fleur-de-lis refers to the French king's symbol, which is now part of the arms of the ile-de-france region, which Sucy belongs to.
