Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted in December 2013.

The chief shows the arms of Lorraine. The tetragon recalls that the town is located on the Maginot line (a 1930 defence line), the cross is taken from arms of the Meuse département. The crosier is the symbol of Saint Hilaire, the local patron saint.
