TRAVAILLAN

Département : Vaucluse

Blason de Travaillan

Official blason

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 4, 1981.

The arms refer to the donation of the area by Raymond of Saint-Gilles, Count of Toulose to Raimond des Baux in 1237. The sun is taken from the arms of the latter, the cross from the arms of the Counts of Toulouse.

The bar is taken from the arms of two families that later ruled the area, the Marck and Bouillon families.
