Escudo de Vandellòs i l'Hospitalet de l'Infant

Official blazon

Escut caironat: d'or, 2 llorers de sinople acostats; el cap de sable. Per timbre, una corona mural de poble.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on February 10, 1992.

Canting arms: they show two laurels (the name is derived from Catalan "vall de llors", meaning valley of laurels). The arms Or with the chief Sable are the arms of the barons of Entença, because the village belonged to Tivissa until 1818, that was part of this barony.
