Administrative division

Vatican City is a small enclave in the city of Rome. The State is ruled by the Pope, the head of the catholic Church. There are no further subdivisions.

Educational heraldry

This section includes colleges and schools that are under the jurisdiction of the Vatican, or closely associated with the Vatican, but may be located elsewhere (f.e. in other parts of Rome). It does not include 'Catholic universities', which are normal national universities with a clear catholic character. These are listed under the country in which the university is located.
