Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were designed in 1888 and adopted in 1889.

They are based on the arms of the Valentin family, Lords of Vaugneray from the fifteenth century, and the griffin and lion of the church of Lyon, to which the parish of Vaugneray belonged until 1789. The V is the town's initial.
