Region : Castilla y León
Province : Burgos

Escudo de Villambistia/Arms (crest) of Villambistia
Official blazon
Spanish Escudo de azur, una fuente de plata. En jefe dos veneras de oro. Al timbre corona real de España.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on December 7, 2007.

The arms indicate that the village is on one of the main roads to Santiago de Compostella. According to tradition pilgrims who dipped their head in the local fountain were no longer tired and could continue their way. The arms thus show the scallop of St. James and the local fountain. The two scallops also indicate the two former inns for the pilgrims in the village
