Von Silber und Rot schräglinks geteilt, darauf in vertauschten Farben ein schrägrechts gestellter, bewurzelter Eichenstumpf mit vier Zweigen. Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on May 19, 1956. The division of the shield symbolises the two villages Gross- and Kleinwahlstede, which were joined to form the present municipality.
