Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on July 12, 1983.
The axe is taken from the old arms of Elkerhausen. The division of the shield resembles a river and is canting for the latter part of the name (Bach), whereas the vine leaf is canting for the first part of the name (Wein).
