Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 18, 1937.

The cross is the cross of St. Andrew, patron saint of the village. St. Andrew already appeared on the early 17th century seal of the village. The colours are derived from the colours of the Wittelsbach, to which the village belonged as part of the Pfalz since the 13th century.
