WIEN-SIMMERING

State : Wien (Vienna)

Wappen von Wien-Simmering

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms of Simmering show a silver "S" in blue. The name is documented since 1028 as "Simanningen" and probably goes back to a settlement for the peasants belonging to one Simon or Sindman.
