English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 12, 1982.

The local castle is the typical landmark of the village and thus placed on the arms. The castle and village was ruled by a number of families during the centuries. The Lords von Gleissenthal ruled the village the longest, from 1536-1851 and their arms were thus placed in the upper corner of the shield.

The base refers to the Bayerischen Wald region.
