GIDLE

Province: Łódź
County: Radomsko

Coat of arms (crest) of Gidle
Official blazon
Polish blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on December 30, 1999.

The upper half refers to St. Mary, worshiped in the local basilica. The bust of the Madonna is modeled on the miraculous figurine of Mary, found according to legend by the local peasant, Jan Czeczka in 1526. The two lilies on the sides are attributes of Mary. The lower half shows a rose of the arms of the Gidle family, the first historical owners of the Gidle village.
