Origin/meaning

The red maple leaf on black is based on the uniform patch of the 4 Canadian Mechanized Brigade Group, which, during the Cold War period, had a similar international expeditionary function to the 6 Canadian Combat Support Brigade. The maple leaf also alludes to the unique scope of the Brigade’s activities across Canada and in supporting the whole of the Canadian Armed Forces. The peregrine falcon is a bird able to oversee a situation from high up and to react with speed. The Motto translates as “The entire battle space,” and alludes to the support given by the Brigade to military units in a combat scenario. The Badge and Formation Patch was approved by the Canadian Heraldry Authority on June 15, 2023.
