HMS SULTAN, ROYAL NAVY

History: Naval Base of Singapore in 1940. Later the Mechanicians' School at Gosport, Hampshire.

English White; in base two bars blue a castle surmounted by a sultan's head proper with tarbush red tasselled gold.

Motto: Pedententium.

Origin/meaning

In allusion to the Name. The Motto translates as"Step by step". The badge was approved in 1956.
