Origin/meaning
The first two quarters show the arms of the De Bois and the De Bast families, former lords of Chabenet and Le Pont-Chrétien respectively. The third quarter refers to the importance of horse breeding in the area. The fourth quarter shows a bridge (pont), which is a canting element. The inescutcheon shows the arms of the De Chauvivgny family.
