History: Formed at Peterhead in April 1942.

Origin/meaning
The Squadron's Aircraft was founded by the British Community in Argentina. The Sun is from the Flag of Argentina and the Lion symbolises Britain. The Motto translates as ”Firmly we fly”. The Badge was approved in August 1943.
