NO 804 SQUADRON, FAA

Hisotry: First formed in 1939 at Royal Naval Air Station Hatston (HMS Sparrowhawk), Orkney Islands as a Shorebased Fighter Squadron. Reformed at Wingfield, South Africa 1944-1945 as a Fighter Squadron with Grumman Hellcats.

English Blue; a tiger's head inclined to profile proper holding in the jaws a sword fesswise silver pommel and hilt gold.

Motto: Swift to kill.

Origin/meaning

The badge was approved in 1944.
