Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 22, 2023.

The black field, the golden bend and the three billets are taken from the arms of the D'Anvin de Ardenthun family, main lords of Ochancourt came from the 15th to the 18th century.

The spur wheels are taken from the (talking) arms of the Lesperon family. The Lesperons were lords of Ochancourt "in part" in the 17th and 18th centuries.

The owl is, since the 1990s, the "mascot" of the village. It has been seen on banners and even in stylized decoration at the entrances to the village.

The oak foliage is an allusion to the oak wood known as "le Bois de Fiennes", and the elm foliage refers to the trees that once surrounded the villages of the Vimeu region.
