Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on February 6, 2024.

The “brown rock” is a canting element (the name can be translated as brown rock) and is placed on a wave symbolising the Drot river. The Maltese cross refers to the foremr hospital commandery belonging to the Order of Malta in the village.

The village is located on the road to Santiago de Compostella, which is symbolized by the shells. The three shells also refer to the three parishes from which the municipality was created in the late 18th century.
